Do you find out if you are a PWC scholar with admission?

Do you find out if you are a PWC scholar when you receive your admission letter? I read that they will notify "Binghamton Scholars" after May 1st. Just wondering...thanks!

I got my letter for PwC scholars completely separate from any admission letters or anything like that. I don’t remember exactly when I got the letter of acceptance but it was definitely a while after i got admitted in general.

Thank you so much for the response! My son was accepted to the Watson School, but changed to the SOM. He just got his acceptance to the SOM on Saturday. Since this happened so late in the game, I thought he might be out of luck. I’m glad to know that he still has a chance. Thanks again!

Even if he doesn’t get in immediately, there is a chance to apply for admission sophomore year. I know a few of my classmates who didn’t get into PwC until after senior year was finished.

Thanks! There doesn’t seem to be a lot of information about it on the Binghamton website. It sounded like you couldn’t apply… you are “invited” based on your initial application. I’m glad to hear that you can actually apply or be “invited” later. Thanks for the helpful information!

I emailed the admissions office a while ago and they said all the PwC freshmen invitations have gone out but you could still join sophomore year.

The scholar class size about doubles after sophomore year. This year there are currently 18 freshman and they will prob add about 10-15 more next year.
