Do you guys think I can get into Harvard?

I just started 11th a few months ago

AP classes taken so far and currently taking: human geography, us history, psychology, literature, stats ( and 12th grade I plan on taking AP calc, AP bio, AP Chem, AP physics, Ap English, Ap gov and Eco.)

Honors taken-: every class that wasn’t AP was honors

IB taken: my school doesn’t have Ib classes

Unweighted gpa 3.4( because freshman year I had a 2.4 due to Me and my family having a big scare thinking that I had a brain tumor, which put me in a deep stage of deppression. I will have around 3.9 by the time I graduate)

Weighted gpa: 4.4( I will have around a 5.026 by the time I graduate.)

Sat: 2321(taking my sat ll in a few weeks)
Act:35

Extracurrilars: well right now I’m apart of this club called deca, and I made my own club called L.O.T (leaders of tommorow) i also plan on joining the math club but in my school to join them u need atleast a 3.5 unweighted gpa. I have 437 community service hours mainly from workin at a local hospital. And I have led 3 car washes for my school in which all the money was donated to charity.

I’m the first line of immigrants from Brazil in my family. Neither my mom or dad attended college. And I want to mayor in biochemistry and one day find the cure for cancer, or mayor in some type of medical field. Or some type of engineering I’m lot 100 percent sure yet.

Unique SAT score.
Where else are you applying?

All 8 Ivy leagues, Stanford, mit, uc Berkeley, ucla, university of Miami

Applying to any Ivy is like buying a lottery ticket. You don’t expect to win, but somebody has to. Some say that ivies communicate with each other, so I’m not sure applying to ALL of them is a good idea. There are many schools in the country just as good as ivy league schools that are a hell of a lot easier to get into. Don’t get sucked into the hype.

But do you think I can make it to Harvard with th credentials I previously said

Who knows??? Harvard rejects many many valedictorians, many many kids with perfect 2400 SAT’s–it’s a crap shoot. Like I said, there are HUNDREDS of schools just as good as ivies, but you obviously buy into the hype. There are failures who went to ivy league schools. There are wildly wealthy, wildly successful people who did NOT attend an ivy. Ivies are not the be all and end all. Their acceptance rates are below 10%.

I don’t ascribe to the lottery idea. Kids get into competitive colleges because they show the right stuff the school is looking for (and then make it through the institutional filters.)

OP how did you match yourself to those colleges, what do you really know of them and what they look for? You have to do the legwork. Otherwise, you’re picking names and applying as a shot in the dark.

And did you take the SAT/ACT or you’re projecting?

You’ve got a slim chance at all the ivys and even the other colleges except University of Miami perhaps. Why didn’t you put more safeties in your list? It doesn’t seem well thought of and randomly strung due to the names of the schools
