I am looking at having an in-person interview with a school (WPI). They didn’t mention anything about having to apply before the interview, but I just wanted to check.
Are you supposed to apply to the school before the interview even though the deadline isn’t for another 4ish months?
Why would they interview you if you have not applied.
My son did all of his interviews before applying.
If you visit campus, often colleges will provide interviews the summer before your Senior year – obviously before you’ve applied. Some schools use this to gauge the level of the student’s interest in them. Show them the love; they show some back. Schools such as the Ivies who conduct interviews also offer some on campus interviews but local interviews (conducted by local alumni volunteers) are only done after app submission.

My kid have interviews both before and after submitting apps. As soon as yiur,name is inthe system, a file is created for you, info is added as it comes.
My daughter has had a handful of interviews and has not completed any apps yet. And WPI is one of those.
