Do you have to title your essays?

So far my essays are titled "ESSAY," but do I have to actually give my essay a title? I'm not feeling too creative, so my essay about my soccer experiences will probably be titled "My soccer experiences" and if I was an admissions person and saw that title I'd reject that person right there.

Can I not title it at all? Just indicate which topic/prompt I'm responding to?

I'm pretty sure they're not supposed to have titles but I've been wondering about this

i don't think it really matters... BUT i have heard that the rule is if there is a specific topic like "write about your favorite book" then you don't have to title it, whereas if it is just like your personal statement then you should. but once again i don't think they will penalize you for not titling your essay.

Yes, if you forget to title your essay it'll thrown out on the spot.

Seriously, don't worry so much. If you can think of a creative title, then go for it. Otherwise just don't bother. A couple words on the top of your essay is trivial unless it fits perfectly to your essay. Just simply put down the number or letter of the essay you're writing on the top corner.

It doesn't really matter. I titled mine becuase I always do.

thanks.

why does my dumb post have to be more than 10 characters.
