do you know anyone who got accepted in Harvard after two or more gap years ?

I was intending to apply to Harvard this year ( after my first gap year ) , but I feel that I will be more ready next year.
I do not know whether after two gap years, I still have a chance.

You realize that you can elect to take a gap year after accepted, right?

@meljendy - if by “more ready” you mean “more likely to be accepted”, keep in mind that it’s exceptionally difficult to get accepted to Harvard as an international student. If you’re applying the year after graduating high school, Harvard (and other schools) will want to know why you are taking the gap year, and how you are spending your time. If you’re not doing something with “wow” factor, your chances are going to be much less than they would have been if you applied during high school.

I agree with @danstearns - apply now, and if you get in, defer your enrollment a year if you feel it’s in your best interest. If you don’t get in, you will know that in March and can move ahead with your life - it’s unlikely that waiting another year to apply will help your chances of acceptance.

It is best to apply to Harvard after your first gap year, it is highly rare and almost imposssible for Harvard to accept students after the second.

I don’t agree – all that matters with gap years is what you’re doing with them. I took two. I knew some freshmen who took more. They were doing things like serving in Afghanistan and performing in lead roles on Broadway. A second gap year should not change your odds.

@Hanna Just to be clear: were you admitted before the gap period or after?
