Do You Know Fairleigh Dickinson, Barton, and East Carolina????

Does anyone out there know anything about any of these 3 schools? I'd appreciate your comments!

My DS is described in "Help My ADD/LD Son". We've heard that all 3 have criminal justice and that all 3 are nice learning environments, yet each is different.

ECU is large but well loved and offers a solid disability program.

Barton is small; other than that I don't know much.

Fairleigh Dickinson is large but offers two distinct campuses and many smaller colleges. It's supposed to be great for disabilitiy students. My DS would prefer the Madison campus, more suburban, more like home...but his potential major is offered at Teaneck (10 miles from NYC and an entirely different feel). I wonder if he could apply to Madison for years 1 and 2, then either transfer or commute years 3 and 4 if he decides that criminal justice is what he really wants. A thought.

If you have knowledge of any of these 3, please share your thoughts. I'd value your help.

Thanks!

Hi, everyone. I'll be away most of the day; my 86 year old mom has macular degeneration and needs her injection to help slow the disease's progression.

Hope one of you is familiar with Fairleigh Dickinson (NJ), Barton (NC), or East Carolina (NC). Other than the profiles I've found via the college tools, there's not too much out there. Anyway, it's your opinions that I value most. Thanks!

See if you can locate "JeepMom"- Her d goes to ECU and has spoken highly about it. As we're not looking further south than than Va, we sort of ruled it out. Though my d not ADD, she does have "issues" with the SAT test. She did perform a bit better on ACT so you may want your son to take that test. Public U's in Va, that are not very selective may include Virginia Commonwealth & Old Dominion. George Mason seems to be more selective than VCU or ODU but may also meet your needs. We are also looking at Temple. I believe you mentioned that on another thread. Good luck with the search.
