Do you need a Bachelor's Degree for an MBA?

Hello! I'm a high school senior who was recently admitted to Rutgers' 0-6 Professional Pharmacy program. At the end of my 6th year I would receive a PharmD in place of a BS, but I also want to pursue an MBA afterwards. So my concern is whether or not most MBA programs would accept me without a Bachelor's Degree? Any advice and input is greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Generally a bachelors’ degree is required, but in this case, the PharmD would be sufficient.

Finish your degree first and then go get some work experience and then apply for an MBA. If you read through this forum, you’ll see that it’s pretty rare for someone to get into a top MBA program just out of college.

The only way to really answer this question with accuracy is to ask at the various schools that you are interested in… My daughter is currently in an MBA program in NJ and she began this program directly after finishing her BS degree. Some schools allow this and some do not. Ask the college. Your GPA may be a factor here. My daughter had an extrememly high GPA which may be why she was accepted without much work experience (only several internships).

The original post just asked about a bachelor’s degree requirement for an MBA. Work experience is relevant. The top 20 to 25 or top tier MBA schools require work experience regardless whether one has an extremely high GPA or not. Outside of that, some might require work experience and others might not if the GPA and GMAT are high.
