Do you need a car?

I would love to go to school in an urban environment and was wondering if there was either a metro stop nearby or shuttles to take students to dtla or other main parts of the city.

Try the blue bus.

SoCal has awful public transportation. Unfortunately, most drives almost always require a car.

Most freshman and sophomores who live on campus do not have cars but can rent “zip cars” and many use Uber. There is a pretty hefty cost (about 400 a semester) to park and even then you are limited where you can park.
