Do you reccomend finding a roommate on a FB group for your college class or having...

or having a random one who you find out about in the summer before college starts?

I found one of my roommates via facebook. She seemed absolutely awesome online. We listen to the same music, watch the same movies, read the same books, speak the same foreign languages, etc. Turns out, she’s loud, obnoxiously talkative, often angry, and overall unbearable. My other roommate and I are vastly different; yet, we get along very well because we respect each other and are more on the quiet, chill side. Make SURE you meet a potential requested roommate prior to making any commitments, and realize that having similar interests does not necessarily equate with similar personalities. Good luck :)

I know two girls who live down the hall from me and found each other on Facebook and it was a fantastic match. They are inseperable haha.

I just had mine randomely assigned after filling out a questionaire and I’m happy with her :).

One roommate I had I met the summer before college, and she ended up turning into a passive-aggressive jerk once I lived with her. I met another on Facebook, and we got along REALLY well. The last one was from a questionnaire, and we’re constantly at each other’s throats.
