Do you recommend majoring in political sciences and economics?

I’d like to learn about how societies work. I think that the best way for that would be majoring in political sciences and economics. Do you recommend that, or is it too difficult (we’re talking about Harvard here)?

What you are describing is what Sociology does. How is this question specific to H?

Harvard students do not declare a major, called a concentration, until their sophomore year. So, why don’t you wait until you’ve been accepted and then you can ask your advisor and fellow students concentrating in political sciences and economics about the work load. As 95% of all applicants to Harvard are rejected, you are putting the cart way before the horse.
