Do you regret anything you did in High School???

I'm talking about academics, sports, social life, etc.
What do you regret and would you want to rewind back and done it differently?

Well, I'm still IN high school (7 months to go), but I've done plenty that I regret. Among them:
- Not care about college until 10th grade, by which time I was not in my school's incredibly-hard-to-break-into honors track (which I did anyway, but still)
- Not made much of an effort to break my habit of being a loner. In high school, there are no loners; there are only freaks and losers.
- Not fallen in love with the person that I did.
- Not learned (yet) to play guitar (but I'm working on this one).

Eh, no.

I would have seized the opportunity to get leadership positions in clubs, because I'm sorta failing at that now.

I would have also taken more difficult classes and gotten involved with my school's science bowl team.

I would have studied more and probably would not have gotten as involved with illegal substances as I did back in the 9th and 10th grades.

I would've focused more on academics in grade 9 and 10, instead of playing games all day. Also, I wish I had joined more clubs as a freshman.

Should have studied less and get more involved with legal substances and extra activities.

I'm a sophomore now, definitely not done with high school but:

I guess...freshman year all I basically did was game, computer, hang out, movies, party all day, never studied, got involved, did my homework, etc (this is still my life, with a bit less gaming and more exercising/sports, I was never unhealthy but I'm much more athletic now).

I'm actually doing more than 1/2 of my homework now, it's improving. And I'm actually in a couple clubs for fun and the lulz, although a couple are "academic". Etc...

Wow, that was my high school career through early Junior year summed up in one sentence.
Anyway, I regret not starting boatbuilding earlier as well as scientific research. I feel like I didn't do anything my first two years of high school (which is pretty much true)

Perhaps not stress myself out so much this year...

You know that blonde girl who sits three rows behind you in history? She's probably interesting. Ask her how her day went instead of sitting quietly worrying about what you got on the math test.

I never really got to know people from high school until I went to college. Some of them are the most interesting people I've ever met. But by the time I realized how much they had to offer, they were several states away. It's funny how you can have class with someone every day for three years and not really know anything about him except that he gets good grades or spikes his hair or mouths off to the teacher.

Everyone has a story. All you have to do is ask them about it.

Figure out how to sign up for AP tests and have the self-motivation to do better in classes and self-study easy APs -.-

Not really, except maybe join more clubs and play more sports. Yeah, I don't have a perfect GPA and I haven't taken tons of AP classes, but I'm having fun so far (only a Junior). I may not go to a top 20 school, but I don't care that much.

To add on from my previous post, I also would have done sports (specifically cross-country, basketball, and outdoor track).

But alas, I am sports-less, and have a severe lack of coordination.

In senior year:

Wish I had done more sports, been more active, volunteered more
...If only I knew that helped get admission into university!

Oh yeah and not pull all-nighters in stupid grade 8 and 9 when I should be relaxing

This thread makes me sad. I hate the idea that I might be getting to the age where I can regret things. I barely have had enough time to do things, let alone regret them. But with that in mind I regret nothing because hindsight is 20/20 but when I was in the position I was in I made choices that seemed best with the limited information available and I can hope for nothing more.

I regret not understanding that if I thought "I shouldn't", I was probably right.
There's nothing wrong with taking risks though, as long as you stay healthy, safe, and sane. Taking risks means, that you can win something (long-term). This is not true with "taking the risk of skipping school or not studying".

I regret taking a study hall throughout freshman year. There is so much that I could have done with that time, and I just wasted it...

I wish that I was the same person I am now during freshman year.

Somehow losing contact with the girl I can't get out of my head now as a senior :'(
