Do you take notes? If so, how?

This mid-term I looked at some textbooks, online lessons, all to prepare for the homeschooling which I hope to start this summer.

In regular school, because I'm forced to take notes, I felt the need to take some notes while doing all this. As I did introductory Chemistry, Biology, and Physics, I felt like notes were overlapping each other, for instance the Scientific Method.

I wondered, should I continue writing these notes? I know in traditional school I would have to, because of different teachers and what not.

I wondered if I should even bother writing notes. I'm still fiddling around with that -- it's new to me, but I quite like it (I think).

Do you write notes at all? Would you write notes that overlap from different subjects?

The thing about homeschooling is that you just do what works for you. Some people don’t benefit as much from writing notes as other so if you got the scientific method down then move on to a topic that challenges you. Don’t keep repeating what you already know. I am a homeschooler and I only write notes when I feel like " I don’t know this and need to learn it or I easily forget this." The only subject I consistently write notes for is history because textbooks can really blabber on and I just need the important facts. So I have to pull the important info out. I also write alot of notes for my science classes and spanish class. I don’t write notes for math, english, art, or music(piano)
