Do you think I can get in to USC?

<p>Hello -
I applied last year to USC as a freshman applicant and did not get accepted as a liberal arts student. I decided to attend Loyola Marymount University as an undeclared major. Now I am looking to transfer to USC in order to pursue architecture because LMU does not offer that program. I understand that the admissions of USC's School of Architecture are very much so portfolio driven, but GPA's, test scores, etc. are factored in too.
STATS:</p>

<p>ACT:31 comp (one sitting)
HS GPA: 3.9/4.1w
AP's: European History (5), AB Calc (5), Studio Art (3), 2-D Design (4), Spanish (4).
Rank: 27/273
Tons of EC's.
Graduated with Honors Merit.</p>

<p>College GPA: 3.93 as of first semester w/ 13 credit hours.
Next semester: 5 classes, including a 300 level Spanish. (for the most part I've been knocking out gen ed's because I am undeclared at LMU)
Total credits at the end of this year: 47 (19 are from AP's and placement testing)
Work 2 jobs part-time.
Two recommendation letters from first semester professors - I think they will be good.</p>

<p>I have additional questions pertaining to financial aid and admissions. Firstly, if I do not get accepted into USC Arch, would I be considered for admission as undeclared/undecided? And also, as a transfer low-income student (from Ohio and >$30,000 income), what type of financial aid figures do people tend to get there? Financial Aid is extremely important, otherwise I will have to attend elsewhere. My sister went to college and because of that, my parents have too many loans with them as cosigners, and cannot take out any more parent plus loans.</p>

<p>Thanks guys!</p>

<p>Financial aid for transfers is the same as it is for students who started at USC as freshmen. Use USC’s net price calculator to get a rough estimate of the aid you might be awarded: [USC</a> Financial Aid - Planning for USC](<a href=“http://www.usc.edu/admission/fa/applying_receiving/undergraduates1/netpricecalculator.html]USC”>http://www.usc.edu/admission/fa/applying_receiving/undergraduates1/netpricecalculator.html)</p>

<p>The <a href=“http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/transfer-students/1520682-official-usc-2014-transfer-thread.html[/url]”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/transfer-students/1520682-official-usc-2014-transfer-thread.html&lt;/a&gt; is a good place to ask for transfer admission chances.</p>

<p>Good luck.</p>

<p>Thank you alamemom!</p>
