Do you think I can get into Johns Hopkins University or Washington University?

Hi! I know this question is so over done and annoying, but I’m not sure if I should even apply if it is such a reach for me.
Unweighted gpa: 3.5
Weighted gpa: 4.2
Ap/dual credit courses: 13 classes (so far for junior year)
Act score: 33
ECs: PTK honor society
300+ volunteer hours at Memorial Hospital
President and founder of a club at school for scholars
Student Government member
Chemistry and Biology tutor
Physics teacher assistant
I’m also planning on visiting one of two of the schools above. I’m wanting to become a dermatologist and I’m really good at science. I’m taking college courses for Bio and chem that a sophomore at JHU would be taking. I have had 2 consecutive years of straight As but my freshman year is what is making my gpa so low. Thanks!

Better chances at jHu because they care less about freshmen year, I was in similar situation but slightly higher GPA and I got rejected from washU rd, didn’t apply jHu

Was WashU the only school you applied too? I’m applying to JHU ED and WashU Rd…

If money isn’t an issue, consider applying to one of them ED. Both are schools that like students who show them a lot of love. They are both reaches for you, nevertheless. Be sure that you have match and safe schools for backup.

You should get in no problem.

I got in OOS
3.8 unweighted GPA
1700 SAT
College Classes Senior Year

You have a lot higher stats than me, I’m sure you’ll be fine. Spend time on essays!
