<p>I highly recommend that you read this article, which was recently published in our alumni magazine. In it, both the Dean and Assistant Dean of Stanford Undergraduate admissions talk about what goes on behind the scenes. I’ll let you draw your own conclusions.</p>
<p>Your stats are pretty much better than mine across the board, and I was admitted to the class of 2018. I honestly think you need to spend time working on your application, and getting the best teacher recommendations possible. There still are many people at your level grade-wise/testing-wise , so this is the only thing left to differentiate you. </p>
<p>With your stats, I highly suggest applying to some other “top-tier” schools as well, since you’d have an equal chance at nearly all of them as Stanford, like Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Columbia, etc. </p>
