Does it help if I have already received college credit? if so, i have credit for physics and calculus through ap test and dual enrollment in calculus. Which year do admission board members look at the most? I hope they focus on senior year because I am getting all As in AP chem, ap calc, ap econ

Also, im Asian and majoring in bioengineering. Hopefully, my minority will help

And...i got an invite to TEAMS (Test of Engineering Aptitude, Math and Science). I guess its kind of selective and last year our school got 2nd place! Would adding this to my application improve my chances of getting in?

I don’t know much about the ASU Honors College so I don’t know what to tell you there, but overall your transcript is pretty impressive.

As for which year they focus on…they focus more on freshman through junior year because most people send in their apps at the beginning of senior year. The only times colleges look at senior transcripts seriously is if: A) Your grades dropped significantly aka senioritis or B) You are a borderline student who might get or might not. The senior grades would help a person in that situation.

So honestly, I think you should hope they don’t look at your senior grades and that your freshman-junior year accomplishments are enough to get you in. Good luck!

Btw I actually have the opposite problem. I had straight A’s and got accepted to U of M. Now I am a little bit worried because I pulled off a B- this semester in AP Calc AB. It probably won’t matter, but senioritis is starting to get to me.

i only applied to asu since they had my major and were close to home. If i don’t get into Barrett its no sweat since college coursework is pretty easy and I can take a bunch of extracurriculars to reapply after freshman year

the last time i took the sats was during the summer vacation before junior year. I actually just took SATs last weekend and i think i did fairly well.

Oh, hitmagt same here, i thought that i could bypass senioritis but nope, not a chance. I visit family in missoula several times a year, its a neat town…hope everything goes well at UofM.
