Do you think this will hurt me?

Hi! I’m a junior. I have a lot of ECs that I am genuinely interested in, but I think it will look like I was padding my resume. I received all my leadership positions this year. But should I omit some of these ECs from my resume? I want to study computer engineering, and some of my ECs are completely unrelated. Do you think admissions counselors will be suspicious?

No, it’s fine.

Agreed, it’s fine.

If anything it seems a bit generic. I wouldn’t say it looks “suspicious,” but it doesn’t seem to distinguish you from other applicants.

Remember, you can list up to 10 activities on the Common App. However I’m not sure if they still allow you attach a resume (Can anyone confirm?), so I’d make sure to pick the ones you are most passionate about and demonstrate leadership in.

Omit them? I don’t see any reason you should do that unless for some reason you just don’t have room to put them.
I don’t think anybody will be suspicious of them, there are a lot of students who go all out on ECs. Nothing suspicious about your list really.
