Do you want to die Unknown?

Or would you rather be known by many

What do you mean “unknown” - as in, I’ll have no one at my Funeral? Or unknown in the sense that my name won’t be recorded in History books. I presume it doesn’t matter if I’m incredibly famous or not I just want a “happy” life.

I don’t care about becoming famous, but I hope there are some people at my funeral.

I’d rather make an impact than be known for something. But I, too, would like to have some people remember me after my death.

Shakespeare’s Sonnet LV may be what you’re talking about, though.

LOL, I want people at my Funeral as well. I just don’t feel compelled to become some Internationally Known figure that will be remembered for thousands of years.

I would like to have made a positive impact in the world.
I would like to be well respected.

-can’t remember who said it, but talked about it in my ap english language class…

Obviously. Sometimes I wonder if the only purpose in my life is to make an impact in the world…which would probably make me “known”.

Put that in your book.

-Marx

Nope, I don’t care. The Universe is going to implode/die out anyways at some point. In the grand scheme of things, no amount of fame is going to make you permanent for this world.

Why are you so sure?

Do any of these things look like a particularly happy ending?

Alright, I’ll cede on that point. I think the bigger point is that no matter what you do, you’ll be unknown after some amount of time. I can hardly remember the names of important presidents anymore.
