Doctor v. Pharmacist

Hi, so I'm completely new here and I'm debating on what I should pursue as a career? I've had a rocky start as an undergraduate (currently too; this is my first year at De Anza College) and well... I start having doubts about where I'm going. I'm a biological sciences major.

I'm trying to decide what kind of career I want... I've always wanted to be a doctor because when my father was hospitalized and died due to cancer, I guess I just wanted to help people... like, in being there for them and helping them as best as I can. But I'm worried over the things that I may have to give up as a result of that dedication towards getting into medical school and working. I don't care about fame or prestige or the money; I just want a stable job to provide a home and care for my mom... And I guess I want some POVs etc. because I don't think the truth about the working environment or anything comes out? I've read articles where doctors abuse their power and get sued etc. and I just want some more insight on it. Either way, I am planning on transferring to either SJSU to get my BS and get into a medical school or transferring to UCSF for its pharmacy program...

Sorry if the information I'm giving is confusing; I'm just trying to get all the information out and it is a little messy. I've been trying to get help but it's really hard to find people willing to give the time of day to let you interview them etc.

Thanks in advance!

I am pondering this as well but leaning towards pharmacy or dentist due to overall quality of life.
