documenting hours

<p>I recently started shadowing a physician at a local clinic, but I haven't been keeping track of the exact number of hours I been working with him. Is it necessary to track the exact number of hours? Or can I simply say on my med. application that I worked with a physician during the entirety of summer? </p>

<p>Also, is it the same concept with volunteering?</p>
