Didn’t know where to put this but I was thinking of starting a blog/vlog to document my high school life/college application process some time. I’m currently a sophomore. What do you guys think? Blog or vlog?
Don’t post in more than one place on the forums… I see this question elsewhere. Do you think there is something unusual or unique about your search compared to tens of thousands of other students? What is the purpose of your blog/vlog?
Hmmm well honestly I mostly just want to do it for myself. I want something to reflect on years from now. I think it would be a nice way to store my personal thoughts and emotions. It just kind of feels to talk about stuff even if it’s just to myself especially if I’m having problems/stress. Of course it would be cool if other people viewed it too but that’s not a priority. I wouldn’t say I’m terribly unique. In many ways I’m just like every other Asian male applicant who wants to get into Ivies but in a way I think I could say that I’m different. My personality feels more colorful and interesting compared to some of the drones that I know who just spend all their time studying and beefing up their college resume. I have hobbies and interests that aren’t maybe normally associated with my particular demographic.
Vlog and put it on YouTube. That way it’s easier to access and you and other people (friends, family, etc) can watch it in the future. I would probably watch it too, because I’m the loser that loves to be immersed in other people’s lives, lol.
Sure, go ahead. As we learned in The Gatekeepers these can be riveting stories. Me, I hate to watch vid, but I am an old.
