I took my physical and eye exam on october 10th, how long does it normallly take to get these results back?

a long time. Give it about 2-3 months.

it took about 3 weeks for mine to change from Pending to Closed... and ive been waiting about 10 days for it to come in the mail since it said closed.

Have fun, its a nuisance.

its alright. its just a small part of the process of getting into a service academy. i think the application is their first weed-out test... imagine if it only took an hour to apply and they ended up with a group of people who werent really serious about it :) from what ive read, it starts out at like 13 thousand people starting a file and then 5,000 actually going through and getting a nomination, then finally 2500 or so getting qualified to the point of where the admissions committee can say yes or no to you.

hey everyone. My status on the dodmerb site changed from pending to closed yesterday. Exactly a month after i took the exam. Any idea how much longer until I find out if I'm medically qualified?

If they don't require any remedials, and they didn't dq you, then you should be qualified.

Can you receive a LOA without your medical being complete (remedials and such)?

hornetguy - Yes, but passing the DoDMERB exam is one of the conditions that have to be met for an appointment. My son's LOA stated that all DoDMERB requirements must be met by Aprill 2006.

Excellent, thank you! All I have left is another eye exam for PQ and a spirometry. Then , I'M DONE! Or so I would like to think.
