DS is currently medically DQ’d for a right knee injury and surgery from 2 years ago. Football player. There is an outpatientt procedure that is preventative and elective that can be done to the other knee to prevent any dislocations and subluxations. Since already DQ’d and no appointment (waiver submission/pending) since this is purely elective and preventative and he is not even qualifed yet does it need to be reported? Wording is unclear. They keep saying Status Change, or appointment. None of those have occured and in the DODmerb medical initiatives the procedure is not even listed, kind of like pulling wisdom teeth. Any thoughts are feedback?
Call DODMerb to ask specifically. They are very helpful in answering these questions. Based on my interactions with them I highly suspect they would say he must report it, if he goes through with it.
