Does AEM: Intro to Business Management require a discussion?

Hey. I was just curious as to whether or not intro to business management requires a discussion section? On JTF, it says it doesn't but I had gov last semester and that also didn't say it needed a discussion section on jtf but it wound up having a mandatory one. So can someone who took the class previously tell me if we have to sign up for discussions later on in the semester or if there are no discussions at all?

Also, it is to my understanding this class isn't very difficult. Is it a lot of reading and then exams on the readings/lectures or does it consist more of research papers, etc?

Thanks in advance.

no discussions.

worst class ever though. pedro's really annoying when it comes to grading and tests.

There are no sections.

This class is a complete joke, I took this in Spring 2008. I got a 60 on the first exam (average: 77) and I still got an A+ in the class. There's bucketloads of extra credit, and if you do the optional project(which is an easy research paper), your lowest exam score is dropped. Just buy the takenote, as a lot of exam questions come from his lecture, and do the readings and the optional project and you'll be fine.

Thanks for the insight. A few more things:

1.) Are the exams generally multiple choice?
2.) Are there are a lot of problem sets or essays outside of class?
3.) The Reading load?

The reason why I am asking is that I already have all my classes for spring 2009 but I am not sure if I can handle just one more.

Also when does Add/drop start for Spring again? Jan 15th?

Thanks.

What is a "takenote"?

It's a service offered where someone (usually a grad student or an upperclassmen) will take detailed notes in class lectures, type them up, and then deliver them to you.

It's a bit overpriced, I felt.
