Does an A or A- for a dual enrollment class made a difference on my high school GPA?

In my high school, from the 10th grade, I’ve been taking dual enrollment classes (in math and english) that are offered by my school. For the math classes specifically, an A is 93.5+ and an A- is 89.5-93.4. I’ve taken 6 math dual enrollment classes, and I’ve only gotten an A- on 2 of them. On my hs transcript, the grade shows up as a A (4.0) regardless of whether I got an A- or A in the class, However, on my transcript from the college, the gpa calculation for a A- is 3.75 and an A is 4.0, so although I’ve gotten all A’s and A-'s in the 6 dual enrollment classes, on my hs transcript it averages to a 4.0 unweighted gpa, but on my college transcript it’s a 3.93 gpa. Which one will be used in college admissions. I’d like to add that I did send my college transcript for the dual enrollment classes to the colleges I’m applying to this year.

Hi! I am a dual enrollment student as well, and your situation sounds a lot like mine. My HS GPA is a 3.94 (1 B+ freshman year), but my college GPA is a 4.0. I sent my ED school both transcripts (from college and from high school). They accepted these with no problem. Good luck!

EDIT: Wanted to add that they consider both transcripts with equal weight if you’ve taken a good amount of DE classes, as you have. Both will be factored into the admissions process. Good luck!

So do you think that the admissions will take both an A and A- for my dual enrollment classes as a 4.0? Or do they calculate those as different weights?

They will use the HS GPA.

Thank you I was really worried!
