Does an admission get rescinded if you don't pass the IB Diploma or an AP exam?

Since we're in the middle of IB/AP season I was just curious to know. I'm currently an IB diploma candidate. I know I will do well enough in all the other subjects but there's one that I think I might not pass. If I don't pass an IB or AP exam, what will happen? Is it mandatory at this point to have to send the scores or if you don't do well you can just not send it?

No, according to many other CCers, colleges do not even look at AP/IB scores once you are admitted (well, unless you are using them for college credit). You can certainly choose to not send scores…at least that is what I am doing for AP Physics. Either way, I believe you can get rescinded for bad grades but not for bad AP/IB scores

No, you just won’t get any credit which is not a big deal since most of it won’t do very much unless you need extra electives. I’m not sure if it’s too late to get a refund, but I would look on the Penn website and only take the APs that count. Most are a waste of money. GoldOwl, I wouldn’t even take physics if I were you, all of the Vagelos kids take intro freshman year, it’s not recommended to go ahead in physics because of the math required. The ones who are interested in physics/want to major in it take phys 170.

^Yeah, I know. The only reason I’m taking the exam is so I can avoid the physics final (which is required for anyone who doesn’t take the AP exam).
