Suppose I do very well GPA-wise, but fail one of my IB courses (but passing with a very high mark in the course). Will my offer of admission likely to be rescinded?

no one? bump

Same boat :)

wondering the samething… do they really care about the IB scores/AP scores? i mean it shouldnt matter right?

i think it’s only used for college credit. I don’t think they care about what you get.

Although I feel those exams should count more than a high school grade, wowcan’twait is right.

But failing an IB course is rather traumatic; it leads to a failure of attaining an IB diploma.

^ I think if you fail a course, you are still able to get your diploma IF you “balance” it out with a 6 in a HL subject. I’m not sure if that’s the right number but I know there’s a rule that is somewhat like it.

And yes, we should feel extremely lucky that US colleges don’t really care about what we get on AP/IB tests in terms of keeping our acceptances. I live in Europe and 95% of my friends applied to UK colleges which have VERY STRICT conditional offers. You can get a place at Oxford with a condition of 39, but if you get a 38, you’re out.

At a US college, I would be shocked if anything happened to you because of that. At colleges in other countries, you should probably be worried.
