hello,

I am a DeAnza college student finished general chemistry and tranfering to a UC without ochem....so i was just wondering if any college offer ochem in summer so i can take it, because i dont wanna take it over a UC (it will be harder)

Thanks,
Spiderman

I’m like almost positive Moorpark College does.

but the teacher is pretty bad :(

SMC is offering three ochem classes this summer… Lol, it’s probably too far though.

hahahha…santa monica college…damnnnn lol…but thanks anyway :)

You are crazy thinking that taking ochem in the summer is going to be easier than a uc taught course. Thousands of students have passed that class so can you. Ochem is a one year long course. You will have to take it at a uc and you cant just finish it over a summer. Plus you wouldnt learn crucial chemistry stuff taking such an intense course in 8 weeks

foothill does. But i think its 12c only. I could be wrong

Save yourself the insanity and don’t go to IVC. Seriously, don’t. You’ll get some girl pregnant, wind up working at Taco Bell and decide you don’t want to go to a UC anymore and you wanna work at the fire department.

San Diego Mesa College offers Organic Chemistry 1 & 2 over summer in 8 weeks. And honestly, I don’t agree with people saying summer is bad for science or math. When you transfer to a UC, you get 10 weeks. How is 8 weeks that much worse than 10?

I think you’re preparing yourself better for the quarter system if you take 2-3 classes over 8 weeks and then go to a UC where you have to take 4-5 classes over 10 weeks.

I’d rather put myself in a high intense 8 week science track to get an idea of how hard it is at a UC, than spoil myself with 16 week terms for Chemistry only to get to a UC where I get 6 less weeks, more competition, less one on one with professors without any preparation.

Lol what’s wrong with IVC? Are you thinking of Santa Ana College?
