Master - no rescission. don't worry, I am in a worse position.
I'll copy your format, if you mind.

1st sem: B A B C C C (last 4 - ap's and one honors)
2nd sem: B A A C D (D in pre calc, trying to raise to a C)
School - Boston University.
Rescind?

but wait... its .00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001%

I might get rescinded. Some of this post is hypothetical and I don't know anything about rescindations just to let you know.

If I get into UCI on appeal, which there is a good chance and I hope I do, I currently have an F. 50%. I can only raise it exactly to a 59.5 under my own power. Let's just say I get a D. If I tell UCI something like I was under the impression I was going to go to a community college so I wasn't trying?

I honestly think saying something to the extent that you underestimated the coursework would be a better reason than simply saying that you didn't try because you assumed you were going to community college. It doesn't reflect well.

If you can raise it to a D, you might have a chance at preserving your admission, but with an F, I would imagine it's an auto rescind (according to my counselor at least).

I got a letter saying that I'm on academic probation this cycle for failing calculus. Last cycle was really hard and I just didn't get the information. On the first cycle I got a B, and this coming cycle, I'll get an A. Colleges only look at semester grades correct? Specifically my grades are 82, 69 :(, and 95 and an estimated 85 on the final. Do you think the average will be okay to keep my admissions?

Ok, so I got into the Univeristy Of Illinois At Urbana-Champagne. Before my gpa was around like 3.3 and this last semester I'm getting 2 A's 3 B's 1 C and a D. The C and D are in AP Psych and Calc, am I going to get rescinded?

You're fine. They already know pre calc is a tough class for you because of that C first semester. If you had an A and dropped to a D, you might be in trouble. But the fact that it was struggle for you last semester shoul make you sage with that D.

A kid in my neighborhood put a deposit down on 2 different colleges last year. The colleges found out and recinded their offers. Aparently his counselor called both schools and told them! He's now at a community college.

253 replies and over 36,000 views. Gahd! People are worried and confused about the subject of rescission.

This is probably because there is not a clear and distinct set of statements that govern when the powers that be, the colleges, can invoke this unitateral action. Sure, this means that there might be some latitude in the right direction, giving a student the benefit of the gray area or doubt, but it also means that the powerful Oz, the college, can unilaterally rescind, roll back, all the very hard work, both of the student and of the family, that got the student into the Emerald City in the first place.

You're dependent on the guard, weeping for your story, and seeing the horse of a different color.

tulsadem- thanks for the explanation. the reason why i'm freaking out so much is because all i hear from my friends is that FAIL class = RESCISSION. which really does makes sense, but still..

Hey guys I was just wondering if I have 1 A 5 B's and D is there a chance of getting rescinded from the University Of Illinois At Champagne, thanks in advance for any answer's.
