this doesn't mean that i have been rescinded does it? i am feeling very anxious and scared >.<

Well, one of the notifications is there because you just need to attend orientation, but the other one…

What does it say on your myUCR home page?

the no longer eligible part sounds pretty ominous

Oh, that’s strange.

Do you mind if I ask what your final GPA for your senior year was??

thats kinda scary the “no longer eligible” part, i suggest you contact them asap in the morning

i did bad senior year. i got a d in pre-cal 1st semester and a f 2nd. I had family problems, not to mention someone who i thought was my friend back stabbed me. My teacher was also a horrible teacher. In my class, 11 students got F’s, 11 got D’s, 7 C’s, 3 B’s, and 1 A for second semester. First semester was only slightly better. On my myucr page, it just same as always, updates, what i still need to do, etc.

i am scared though, it doesn’t mean that i have been rescinded does it?

Tomorrow the first thing you need to do is to call up your counselor and talk to her about the hold. If it really is bad news, you need to explain your situation and talk about what can you do to stay admitted. DO NOT EMAIL! Hope to hear back with some good news.

oops i already emailed them, but i do plan on calling asap tomorrow! thanks :)

eeesh sounds like you got rescind
i’d call them asap if i were you

has anyone who had been rescinded gotten this message before?

ive never gotten rescinded before, but i think they phone you… from what i heard of.
but yea, it really does sound like your fall admission is jeopardized because of the D and F you got, very big no nos. good luck

yeah thanks but the thing i am confused about is that i am going to be in chass as an anthropology major. the pre-cal class was just an excess a-g course. and also math isn’t a requirement for me if i go to ucr because i can take a statistic or computer sci class instead. so would pre-cal really affect my admissions? and if i was rescinded, then why would i still have an appointment with the advisor about courses??? can somebody help please?

From what i heard,
they will allow only 1 D in an excess course with atleast 3.0GPA.
having more than 1 D will jeopardize your admission

That is the hold they put on you. This means that you either have too many D’s in excessive classes or a D/F in a non-excessive class. They will probably message/phone you if you got rescinded or not.

I don’t know. It kind of seems like you got rescinded, but call your admissions counselor at once tomorrow.
