Does Vandy only award scholarship aid to incoming Freshman? Can Sophomores and juniors also receive aid?

If you are talking about merit scholarships, if you qualify for one of their merit awards, I believe schools generally offer a certain amount each year for up to 4 years as long as you maintain a good GPA and take a minimum # of hours to maintain full-time status. If you are asking about financial need-based aid, I am pretty sure you will have to reapply each year and a decision is based on your demonstrated financial need each and every year.

Here is some info on merit aid:

Right but can scholarships be awarded to Sophomores or Juniors?

I only know about the National Merit awards, but those are continued all four years (contingent upon satisfactory academic performance) and, unless the EFC changes substantially, basically the same financial aid awards can be expected for the duration of studies as well. I would expect that other merit awards would continue as well as long as the minimum gpa is attained.

The vast majority of merit aid is awarded to incoming freshman. If you think about it, Vandy has no incentive to give a scholarship to someone who is already attending. Those few scholarships that are given after freshman year are likely given by specific departments and will probably not be for large sums of money.
