I want to know how many people know about a junior boarding school called The Rectory School. I know this is a prep school section but there was no other section!. Anyone know about the Rectory School? How is that school compared with other junior boarding schools such as Eaglebrook or Rumsey?

Hi timmy03114- have two sons at a jbs. Did not visit Rectory but heard very good things about it and believe it is favorably regarded academically. Our ed consultant recommended we take a look, but we decided to go the single sex route.

Honestly, I don’t think there is a ‘bad’ JBS that is a member of the JBSA. Take a look at their website…

Hi Timmy:
I know the school well and would characterize as an overlooked gem among the Jr. Boarding Schools. Greatest strength is close family feel, teacher and admin who really care about the educational, physical, and emotional health of the kids, and finally the individual instruction is a terrific way for either enrichment or intervention as needed.

I see the thread is a year or so old; are you still following it? What did you learn about Rectory? Are your kids there?
