Does anyone know any online essay grading service?

Hey, as the question says, I need an online service where I can send them my SAT essays, and then they grade it, and tell me my mistakes and where I went wrong and everything and how to improve. I searched in the internet and the only one where they would correct the essay charge 29.9 PER essay!!! There are other much cheaper sites, but they do not specifically say they correct for the SAT essay. Are these sites credible and will grade me professionally, seeing how they are not SAT-essay specialized?

Also, there were a couple of CC private tutors who graded essays for free. Do they still do that? And if not, can someone tell me their usernames so that I could pm them and see if they do it online as a job?

Thanks to anyone who could help me this or provide me with a website or company that could grade my essays :)

Nope, sorry :(

They’re stupid companies trying to make money. The SAT costs $50 alone. LOL I would read it for free. I average between 10 and 11 for SAT essays, so I can read it if you like.

you don’t get it; I’ll write multiple essays and probably need someone who can grade my essay, but show me my mistakes too. Are you willing to read my essays, grade them, and tell me where I should improve all for free? It’s just that no body has the time for that, so that’s why I wanted to contact a service or something. If you are willing to help me with this, then I’d REALLY appreciate it :)

Just post one of them online, I can provide feedback…once you learn how to attack the SAT essay it becomes a breeze.

ok bob12345… I really appreciate your help man. I was just asking for this in advance, but I’ll soon start to post my essays here. Thanks again!

Hi, can I get feedback on one of my essays?

Prompt: Is honesty always the best way to achieve something?

Honesty is incontrovertibly an admirable quality, but many occasions require hiding the truth to achieve a desired result. Both the novel 1984 and a fight between my friends justify the necessity for lying. The government of 1984 uses false propaganda to deceive its citizens of the harsh truths of reality, and I reconciled a fight between two of my friends by pretending each one had been saying nice things about the other.

Ruled by a totalitarian government, Oceania, the setting of 1984, secretly oppresses its citizens by lying to them. The newspapers always cheer about an increase in food supply and victory in wars with Eurasia. Upon hearing the uplifting news, the citizens are pleased about the condition of their lives, and sustain motivation to work hard. In reality, however, the government secretly reduces the rations of the citizens and never actually engages in a way against anyone. Had the citizens been given the unfavorable truth, they would have no incentive to work hard, likely resulting in weakening the government.

Just as the government of Oceania keeps its citizens happy by lying to them, I kept my friends happy by telling them false stories about each other. Rick and George were close friends, but one day after a heated game of basketball, trash talks soon turned into hurtful insults. Rick criticized George’s family, and George criticized Rick’s clothing. Both were sensitive about the topic attacked and decided it best to severe the friendship. After months, the friendship was still unmended; neither was willing to recant his insult. Although not the most scrupulous way to handle the situation, I lied to Rick, telling him George apologized about laughing at Rick’s jeans, and I told George that Rick was sorry about criticizing George’s sister. Upon hearing the “apologies,” the two made up and became friends again. Had they not been told the small lie, they would not have rekindled their friendship.

To protect the fragile feelings of a human being, lying is often necessary. As shown by 1984 and Rick and George, a lie many be the best interest of everyone.

Very nice essay. I would give this 10-11… closer to an 11. I think you can get an easy 12 if you work on your conclusion just a ltl bit.

There really isn’t much for me to critique so perhaps Bob12345 can have something more to say :)

Thanks…the grader at the SAT class I’m taking gave me a 7…

Hmm… did he/she say what was wrong? If it was a 7, to me, it’s most likely because of the examples (a little too distant but your writing and message is very good so it shouldn’t matter) and the length (which is a little bit on the short side compared to the others posted on the CC-the conclusion part I mean-) but 7 is way too low for this essay.
And what SAT Class are you taking? I hear that many of these prep classes are very bad but I know some that are really good…

The online SAT from collegeboard will grade your essay. I paid $69 for grading 10 tests + essays. So it works out to be $6.9 per essay.

Holistically, the essay is really great. However, be reminded that this is the writing section and some of the more picky graders notice some of the errors that inevitably go into any essay. If I can give you any advice at all, just make sure you read your own essay (after your done) and imagine it was a sentence-error type question, and you’ll find most of your mistakes that way.

Such as:

“Ruled by a totalitarian government, Oceania, the setting of 1984, secretly oppresses”
Your message gets across pretty clearly, but a setting can’t oppress and the people who are doing the oppressing are being ruled by the government, they are the government.

I might be a little too picky because I want to improve my writing myself, but definitely keep it in mind.

can someone grade mine?

What is your view of the idea that every obstacle can be turned into and opportunity? Plan and write an essay in which you develop your point of view on this issue.

Obstacles, as referred by many, are hindrances in one’s path to achieving their goal. However, there could be various interpretations of the term, considering the various aspects one takes on it. Pessimists would define the obstacles as an obstruction, whereas optimists, like me, would view it as an opportunity to grow. Personally, I believe that every hurdle a man overcomes is a leap to the next step towards one’s aim.

Consider the account of J.K. Rowling; as she finished her first novel, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, Rowling had met with several criticisms with regards to the plot of the story. The book was rejected by several publishers at that time; however the rejections only motivated her more into having the book published. She accepted the criticisms as a test for her dedication. Her view towards her obstacles resulted in an award winning, best-selling novel series until date.

Another example would be that of Walt Disney. Walt worked as a cartoonist for a local newspaper, “Kansas City Star.” He was sacked because of his “lack of creativity.” This wasn’t the end of his problems; he started another business which drove into bankruptcy. However these tragedies only pulled him up to start over. As J.K Rowling did, he too viewed his miseries as tests to stand up and climb towards his goals again. Today, he is known for the international award winning cartoon shows.

“I didn’t fail. I just found 10,000 ways that won’t work,” said another man who turned his obstacle into an opportunity to learn from his mistakes. Thomas Alva Edison, the inventor of the light bulb, too, failed several times in making the light bulb. Nevertheless, he did not give up; he continued to materialize his ideas. Because of his will to achieve his goal, we enjoy the benefits of light, and also methods one should avoid in reproducing his invention.

In a nutshell, we see how J.K. Rowling, Walt Disney and Thomas Edison’s perspective towards an obstacle brought them towards their goal with a stronger motivation. Similarly, this notion could be implemented in our daily errands, for example, as the work load increases, we could always believe in the opportunity of perfecting one’s technique and efficiency in that task.

Yeah can someone grade mine too ? :stuck_out_tongue:
Assignment : Is the purpose of education to change the world ?
My essay -
The purpouse of education is to change the way people look at things , and see them as they truly are . Broadening people’s horizons change the way they look at things , and in turn ,they change everything around them . Evidence of this is seen in history as well as in the movie "Dead Poet’s Society ".

In nineteenth century India , more than half the population was illiterate . Many social reformers set out to change this situation . Many schools and universities were set up where students were educated on a variety of subjects . With the degrees the students earned on graduating , they were subject to a wide variety of options . They could become lawyers , bankers , doctors . Children of farmers and manual workers did not have to stay in the same occupation and had a choice . Now , they had the freedom to get what they deserved , through hard work and dedication .In this way ,education was able to change the lives of students who otherwise would live their lives in poverty and ignorance .

Another way education changed modern India , was that the enlightened and educated people now saw the injustice of the British rule . They formed political parties , held protests and stood up against racism and oppression and were ultimately able to free India and establish a democratic and secular country .

In the movie "Dead Poet’s Society " , John Keats is an English professor in a very strict boy’s hostel . Throughout the movie , he inspires his students and imbibes the idea of "Carpe Diem " or “Seize the Day” in their minds . The teacher and the poems he has read in class , inspires one student to confess his love to a girl he knows , a task which he would otherwise be hesitant to perform . In fact , even upon rejection , he persists and convinces her that she should be with him . In this way ,the teacher through his education and inspiration, helps a student change his world and his attitude towards life.

Education has and always will change the lives of people in personal as well as much bigger ways than they can imagine . The purpouse of education is to broaden people’s horizons and this changes the society and the world we live in .

Why the bumps? -.-

cradled in the beauty of the flowery garden side stood a humongous, royal palace that lightened up the day every evening.the trees swayed in the breeze as the moon smiled, above the immense sky, that was filled with joy.The iron gate was opened to the sound of music from the palace that floated in the air.The sweet royal tender of the flowers filled the breeze with delight. The droplets of water floating through the fountain reflected the azure of skies and rippled in the air.lights flashed through every corner of the window. The thundering noise of the music echoed through the darkness.

screaming swarms of children ran through the palace as bubbles floating in the air and balloons drifted around aimlessly on the floor among the discarded wrapping paper. Multi-coloured banners were draped on the top of each door.A stack of unopened presents stood in the corner of each room.

I was surprised as the duke calmly told me to enter the hall,to enjoy the party, that was just set out for my birthday. The palace was like the inside of a gigantic beast, with a crowd of celebrity’s.The crush of people was a suffocating oceans. My heart was pounding like thunder with excitement. The lustrous,pearl-beaded fabric of my dress glinted, light reflecting from the ballrooms glow. The gown draped past my toes, slightly drifting from my legs.My dress flowed like a river in a hour glass shape.

The spotlight above me was beaming directly on me,and the darker cream, intricate, floral design was glittering like stars in the sky.I glanced around at the other accommodating guests, staring at me with incredulous eyes.

My heart melted,as i felt the soft, silky, red carpet that tickled my foot.A shiver ran down my spine,as i slowly took the knife to cut the cake which seems to have no end to it’s taste.I slowly sliced a piece to share it with the duke.He also got a piece of cake and gave it to me with his heartful greeting that was filled with joy.The moist chocolate cake melted in my mouth. The bitter and simultaneously sweet smell of it puts me in a serene mind state, with the rich shades of brown on every delicious layer. This cake acts as a slice of happiness on a white styro foam plate.

I held hand with the duke and took a few steps to the dining table.Which was filled with luscious, mouth watering food. The servants served a handful of food from each plate with a pleasant wide smile.I also smiled back as i feel smile is the only way to show the harmony of love,to those servants that filled my day with delight.

Someone tall;offered me to dance with him.I didn’t know what to say.My eyes flickered back and forth,to see what the duke might have felt.My hands clenched into a tighten first.I was speechless!Who is he?The duke’s face was contorted in fury.he was as angry as a bull. His cheeks flushed and his eyes sparked with ferocity. His nostrils flaring,as his mouth quivering and drooling, slurring words that were unintelligible came spewing into space like a volacano releasing it’s pent up emotions into the darkness.

please correct my writing to make it a standard good grade piece please…
