<p>Well what are your intended majors?
By the way, you can’t just start off UCI with a double major. They wouldn’t let you anyway. You would probably wait until your second or third year to declare another major or minor.</p>
<p>After taking a few classes in the area you want as your second major, you should talk to the academic advisor in the school of that major (i.e., if you wanted to have psychology as a second major, you’d talk to the advisor at the School of Social Sciences). Do this in your second or third year, as you might have a change of heart later on.</p>
<p>Officially what happens is you change your major to add the second major. You’ll need to talk to the appropriate academic counselor and file a petition. If your petition is approved, your transcript will list a change of major from your previous major to your double major.
