Double Major

Hi, if you're just a high school senior, how do you indicate that you want to double major?

Thanks!

yes i also want to know this!

You can declare it once you’ve spoken to a counselor about it. They will mark you down and help you figure out how to achieve it. Although, I’m not a big proponent of double majoring… It doesn’t provide particular advantages.

Until then, get started on taking classes that will fulfill both majors, and you’ll surely be on track before you talk to a counselor.

Is it possible to have both a double and a minor? Sounds a bit ambitious, but I’m just wondering, haha

As a double major student myself, my advice is to stick with a single major and take a few courses in the 2nd major which interests you first. I know many many many people who declared a double and ended up declaring a minor or just dropping the double altogether because they could not handle the additional coursework.

It’s better to do excellent in a single major as opposed to doing mediocre in two majors.

To answer your question though, talk to a counselor.
