<p>You can declare it once you’ve spoken to a counselor about it. They will mark you down and help you figure out how to achieve it. Although, I’m not a big proponent of double majoring… It doesn’t provide particular advantages.</p>
<p>Until then, get started on taking classes that will fulfill both majors, and you’ll surely be on track before you talk to a counselor.</p>

<p>As a double major student myself, my advice is to stick with a single major and take a few courses in the 2nd major which interests you first. I know many many many people who declared a double and ended up declaring a minor or just dropping the double altogether because they could not handle the additional coursework. </p>
<p>It’s better to do excellent in a single major as opposed to doing mediocre in two majors.</p>
