Does anyone know when decisions are sent?

…And do they send e-mails or is it just regular airmail?

I am an international student and they told me they’ll e-mail my decision “at the very end of March”. I think students in the US will get it via snail-mail-

They say april 1st, but I think they’re just giving themselves some wiggle room.

until now, they still haven’t downloaded my supplement =))
so I seriously cannot think of any point that they will release the decision =))

maybe they did but the commonapp is showing it wrong :s

they didn’t download mine neither

yeah, the common app. can be deceiving. well if anyone finds out please do tell.

ps did one apply for the levy scholarship? ive been loking for the past week for some1 who has received it or sth. anyone? do u knkw anything about it?

From their web page:
Each year several full-tuition, four-year scholarships are available to academically outstanding high school seniors committed to majoring in economics during their undergraduate studies. Additional financial aid to assist in covering remaining costs, such as room and board, may be applied for and will be awarded on the basis of need. Additional assistance will take the form of a loan or campus employment.

A student receiving a Levy Economics Scholarship must major in economics, maintain a B+(3.3) grade average, and earn at least 32 credits per year.

If a student receives external grant or scholarship assistance that is applicable to tuition, for example, a TAP award, the maximum amount of the Levy Economics Scholarship and the external award will not exceed the full-time tuition charge.

Good luck my friend.

I’ve read all these but tnx nevertheless! I guess no one here applied for it. :S

My counselor got an email from them (specifically the admissions guy who interviewed me) saying that they were seriously considering admitting me but hadn’t received my midyear report (they’re like CommonApp-handicapped, I swear) and they just asked for my grades. I burst out crying like a ■■■■■■ in the middle of the hall when she told me; I was so happy. Even though it doesn’t mean acceptance and definitely does not mean acceptance with enough FA to attend.

I think their maximun grant is around $25k.

Good luck, Ema

That would suck, but oh well, we shall see.
And thanks, you too :D. Hope you get the econ scholarship!

Fingers crossed :D

I just got my first rejection from St Lawrence University and Im pretty surprised coz I event didn’t send them their supplement and the essays but just the basic Common Application.

I’m guessing you meant that you’re not surprised lol?
But yeah, hope you won’t be getting many more of those :).

They accidentally told me that i got in. I can’t tell you how because I can’t rat out my source. I’m like 99.99% sure that i got in though. After making such an audacious post though, if i get rejected I completely deserve it.

Yay, congrats, I hope it’s true, though I can’t say I’m not curious as to how you found out :stuck_out_tongue:
Is Bard your top choice?

@Heart

I’m surprised they actually reviewed my application since it was incomplete. I even made a list - Lucija’s College Decisions (don’t ask, I’m overreacting over each email I receive) and St. Lawrence wasn’t on the list and thus didn’t count on their e-mail.

@paranoidsenior
Congrats!

Does anyone know how many econ scholarships they give each year?

Haha yeah I have a list like that on the wall of my dining room that has how/when each college releases decisions and a rubric for FA awards and random remarks. My first decision is on Wednesday, Bryn Mawr :D.

Lol I think the rejection letter is a formality for whomever submits the Common App. The sad thing is when people with very incomplete applications get waitlisted. I think that reflects so poorly on the college.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure it is my top choice. I wish you all luck and I think that if you really want to go there, chances are that they will admit you.
