Does anyone know why there is a hold on my Cal Central account?

I logged into my Cal Central account and it says there is a hold that may prevent me from signing up for classes. Does anyone know why this is? I will be attending Cal as a freshman in Fall 2016.

Have you followed the instructions on how to remove a hold?

Call Cal Central at (510) 664-9181 and see if they can walk you through it.

I logged in today and found one as well, but it doesn’t show what the hold is.

Given the transition to a new system I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s just a glitch.

I think most everyone has it until you speak to an advisor.

I have the hold too. Possibly because we haven’t attended CalSO yet? Or maybe it’s the online academic orientation thing I have yet to turn in.

I have the hold too. I turned in the academic orientation thing a couple days ago so I’m not sure why it’s there. If somebody figures out the reason or the way to solve it let me know.

The hold is for all incoming freshman, so that we can’t register for classes starting immediately on June 2nd. We have to wait until our CalSO date to be able to register for classes.

@Kyuutoryuu So we can’t Phase 1 our classes starting tomorrow?
