How do u manage ure time if u play 3 sports

i play two

if they're different seasons, like mine are, then it's fairly easy. i can't see how you can do two different sports if they're the same season. because wouldn't you be making your coaches mad by tiring yourself out for another sport?

my son has played three sports for three years. this is his senior year and he is currently competing in golf and football. he wil participate in basketball this winter, and in track and baseball this spring. this is the first time school policy has allowed for an athlete to compete in two sports in the same season. so far, so good. i think his time management skills are superb...if he has a few moments during class to get something done--he gets it done!

there is a written contract between the coaches and the athlete. a primary sport is declared and then all the terms are agreed to as well. football is my son's primary sport, golf is secondary. the football coach excuses his from monday, thursday practices to attend golf meets. he can also golf in saturday tournaments.

he is the first student to do this, and so far all is going well. named to the all-conference golf team today! also an area leader in passing as he is leading his team with a 6-0 record! he's having a blast!

our valedictorian did. He did basketball, baseball, and football. They were all in different season, but all of us are amazed how he could do all those sports and keep team captain for each one without losing his straight A streak. It is a mystery sirs.

Two here...but it's essentially year long for me as it's track and cross country.

I want to play three this year...

Basketball - if I make the team
and

Baseball and Tennis... but they are in the same season. So I am not sure.

i have three for running... cross country in the fall, indoor track in winter, and outdoor track in spring

I also considered track during the spring... but again... I doubt I can handle three sports in one season. and if anything Tennis and Baseball would be it.

3 sports? Most people in my school all play sports on different seasons. I certainly hope you didn't mean 3 sports in one season?
^_^ I myself play basketball in the winter and lacrosse in the spring.

At my school you can't play more than one sport at once... I had to quit soccer my sophomore year to play tennis : / but I'm going back to soccer this year, I can't do any other sport since guys soccer starts next month! (games aren't till february)

i used to do two (xc and track, with indoor in winter but that was kind of a joke), but had to stop because of injuries and only do xc. i did one (half) season of swimming, but i hated it.

i'm far more productive when i'm doing a sport than any other time. the combination of exercise + time consumption just makes me feel better and focused. but now i'm done with running for good (double stress fractures) and i'm going crazyyyyy

ah.. i swim yr round, run XC in the fall, swim for my HS team in the winter, and play softball in the spring. playing two sports (especially sports like swimming & XC/running) in one season sucks lol to put it bluntly... i dont get home from school until 9:30- 9:45 every night. and my swim coach hates me playing other sports, esp. XC, haha but at this point i'd just keep doing it to spite him

2 - volleyball and soccer
and various other intermural (sp?) sports (against other 'houses'.. think harry potter) like basketball, baseball, hockey, etc.. there's hardley any practice for them so they dont take much time.

i played 3 varsity sports all thru high school (and never had a study hall or free period), and i found that the structure helped me manage my time. in between sports seasons, i didnt know what to do with all my free time, so i definitely procrastinated a lot more. i personally need a lot of structure in my life.

i play 4...

fall- field hockey
winter- track
spring- lacrosse
horseback riding- year round

Well for me it is all running but I do all three seasons like those with 3 sports do. I find that I am MUCH more productive when I have a tight schedule and less free time. Sometimes it's overwhelming, going to practice when I know I have to finish a report - but then I think, I am practicing, I could be reading some boring primary sources at this time :) It all works out

I play 3 sports too. Cheering, volleyball, and softball. Volleyball and softball were different seasons but cheering was all year. I went to a small school though where it wasn't uncommon to be playing a lot of sports so the teachers would sometimes give us breaks on game days which helped a lot. But I always tried to get my homework done anytime I could during the day. I would do it at lunch, during study halls and before practices. It was kind of hard at first but I loved being really busy. I never had a chance to be bored! And I got to spend sooo much time with all my friends.

ahh wow i didnt realise there were so many athletes on this sitee..coolz..

i play volleyball, basketball, and lacrosse (diff seasons)

Son has 3 sports one each season but.........his older little sister (senior last year) had 3 varsity sports in 1 season!!! Swim, dive and gymnastics.

Swim at 5 am practice, swim again at 3, dive at 5, gymnastics 7:30 and home by 10pm. M-F, Saturday meets and practice.

She did swim and dive year-round though.

She is now a D1 athlete at a big sports school on a full-ride.

The sports did pay-off.
