Hello. Happy Monday and thanksgiving of next week!

I'm UCLA freshman and now prepare for transfer as sophomore in Fall 2013. And does anyone want to transfer to other schools from UCLA now..? Let's share the tips or advice each other..! And also I have a question... (If you're UCLA student now,) could you tell me how to ask the adviser for the college official report? I only know that they are in Murphy hall, and don't know how to contact them or ask them...also, can we buy the envelope in the post office(or something that in Ackerman union)?

I currently am. I’ve met several people who wants to transfer already in campus… I bet we can start a club or something lolol. There are so many.

Haha I think there are approximately 9 to 10 people this year who are trying to transfer out.
Lets meet for dinner or something
I think I’m going to get my LoR from my Ecology and my Saxophone Professor. Also one from my internship boss…
What’s your major?

I’m (Pre) Global Studies Major:) Wow, Saxophone sounds great! Are you freshman now…? or sophomore…? If you don’t mind, can I ask the schools you plan to apply?

I plan to apply to schools with Dual Programs such as Northwestern, John’s Hopkins, Upenn and etc.
I am actually a Business Economics Major but my strength in Saxophone Performance granted me acceptances in both schools at UCLA. However, I now realize that double majoring is very hard to do especially in schools like UCLA where there exists no organized program for people like me.
Also, the person you have been talking to “babygoindown” is my friend; we met in CC too. So, let’s meet up sometime and share our stories.

I’m just curious, why do so many people transfer out or are unhappy at UCLA? I applied to all the UCs for transfer except UCLA and Irvine but was just wondering.

personally, i’m not unhappy. its just that i didn’t realize that as a biz econ major that where i go to school would matter. i want to go to the east coast, but its very difficult to go to the east coast from a west coast school unless you’re at stanford

Oh, well. I’m not “unhappy” But I think much smaller, private school will be better for me. Also, I think it will be more helpful for my major and interest… Actually, I prepare transfer to liberal arts colleges…But is it really, much harder to go to east coast from west coast than from the other school in west coast?

oh i was talking about business, because i’ve come to realize that recruiting here is for LA and the bay, not the east coast. if i was on the east coast i would be getting recruited to places like nyc, boston, chicago, etc.
