My daughter is homeschooled, so her application will be holistic review. She is considering a gap semester. Are there any drawbacks to applying for spring admission? Perks? She’s applying for liberal arts, with a number of majors she could choose from, namely several languages and linguistics.
I think it’s easier to get accepted for spring admission if she is applying as an incoming freshman. If she takes classes at community college, she’s considered a transfer student. A friend’s daughter graduated early and applied to UT. They weren’t confident she would be accepted for traditional fall admission, but she was accepted at UT for spring 2018.
