I have a 3.3 currently and attend Austin Community college, meaning I have made 6A’s, 2B’s and 2 C’S as of now. I am taking 4 classes this Fall that I know I will get 4 more A’s in, leaving my gpa to a 3.49. I took 5 Dull credit classes in Highschool (3 B’s and 2 C’s) and at ACC my freshman year I made 5 A’s and 1 C.
I am applying into EDUCATION from Austin Community College after attending this fall there again. I have a huge resume dealing with children such as work, internships and volunteering. I also am planning on writing about in my essay’s how my grades and my seriousness of education have improved since my highschool dull credit classes, and how I managed to get over a brain tumor first semester while taking 2 classes, (hoping to explain my low grades and reason for taking 2 classes in 2018 Fall). -I was full time last Spring and will be this fall. I am a white female born in 1999.
Is there any chance? Please comment below for advice…
If you’re looking to get into education, you’d be just as well off at Texas State University 30 min away. Their education programs are top in the state of Texas and your grades are more than good enough to get in. UT is going to be a reach and you need to make sure you get admitted into the education school before going to UT there, otherwise you might get denied and be forced to transfer schools again. It’s a similar story with Texas State. If all else fails, you could go to UTSA, which still has a great education program, but isn’t cutthroat competitive. Hope that helps.
Good luck ! I believe demonstrated interest in a major is super important for transfer, and think there is an opportunity for you to address your GPA in the process, any reason why you are pushing for Spring? I believe Fall would give you more time to raise your cumulative. Have you done extensive research on the School of Education at UT? Which program?
Hi I am aiming for applying under Spring and Fall if I don’t get in for Spring. Im applying under Bilingual Education
