Does being a member of a political party count as an EC?

Today I was asked to join the organization for young people of the leading party from my town. Even if I've never wanted to do politics, I was told I don't have to get so much involved in the politics stuff, just to come up with ideas of making something good for improving the town. I have some good ideas, I've even told one of them today and they said it's very good and they'll think about it, but even if they are accepted, since I am a raising senior, I doubt they will become reality until I send the application forms. So, if I do it, will it be a bonus for my application?

Unless you spend quality time working towards the implementation of your ideas, probably not. What would you write on your application, anyway?

Member of the Local Political Party - 0 hours/week, 0 weeks/year?

Are you doing anything this summer? If not, it'd be great if you spent your summer implementing your ideas (if you are truly interested) rather than just suggesting them and letting somebody else do the work.

And honestly, it doesn't sound as if you truly want to do it. If not, find something you want to do and stick to that instead.
