Does being transgender boost admission chances?

I'm strongly considering transitioning from male to female. Now before I continue, I want to stress that IN NO WAY AM I DOING THIS BECAUSE I THINK IT WILL INCREASE MY CHANCES. And I wish to apply to Stanford and the Ivies. I am completely aware that stats and ECs are undoubtedly the most important, but I'm also aware a push for diversity is big at top schools, and would this give me a slight boost? I currently identify as a gay male so I guess the question also aplies to that. What do you guys think?

Unfortunately, unless you legally change your gender, you will have to mark the gender on your birth certificate on the Common App. Additionally, there is no place to list if you’re a trans* student, unless you write about it in an essay (and, very rarely, a college may ask it as a supplemental question. Connecticut is the only school I know of that does this.)
