compare to some state University like Rutgers.

And the path to become a doctor, would it be harsh (reject me, because i am from liberal art school) if i study in one of the two college?

neither bowdoin nor bates has an engineering program. i can’t speak for bates, but bowdoin does have a 3/2 program with caltech, columbia, or the university of maine.

as for medical school, however, bowdoin graduates are unusually successful at getting into med school. i assume the same is true for bates. compared to state schools, i bet the rates of medical school acceptance are higher at both these LACs, but i’m unsure and would need some data to support that claim.

appreciate.
