<p>Is it all the classes or just some?</p>
<p>Maybe some classes do, but none of mine have. It might be more common in classes such as engineering where curves are more necessary. And even then, only an individual test grade is usually curved that way, not your overall class grade. Unless the teacher waits until the end of the quarter when they already have all the grades in to implement the curve.</p>
<p>Does the grade curving usually make your grade go down or does it help your grade?</p>
<p>I’ve never heard of a teacher here using a curve that negatively effected anyone’s grade - that doesn’t mean there none of them do, of course, but if they do, they are extremely rare.</p>
