i honestly dont think professors for 130 matter. I heard Dunietz was horrible, so I had J. Sipowska. It’s just me i guess,i couldn’t stand her accent, boring as f***. Try avoiding dunietz if u can, even though others arent that great either.

both have accents.

but sipowska is probably better, even though i disliked her =P

idk Duneitz’s accent isn’t too bad. It’s just that when he spoke into the mic, there was too much bass so it made it difficult to understand. In the end, gen. chem lecture is pretty useless.

I can’t get sipowska, it overlaps with ringdenberg (something like that…?) for Engr 101. I’ll just who with whoever else besides sipowska and Duneitz I guess, thanks!

Ringenberg is really good. Stay with him if you can. However, you can sign up for classes which have a time conflict. It’s not going to cause problems for classes like Engr 101, Chem 130 (I think, I didn’t take this class), or Math 116/156.

Wait, why wouldn’t it cause problems? The lectures overlap by 30 mins…or are they that unimportant? U of M actually lets you schedule like that?

Sorry, it’s not going to cause problems if you go to another lecture. If for instance, you need to go to one lecture on Monday and Wednesday, and a different one of Friday because it fits better, you can do that, and signup for two conflicting classes on Friday (or Monday+Wednesday).

They’ll tell you they don’t necessarily do the same things at the same time. They’re lying, they do. And if you do an SLC study group (you sign up for those a couple of weeks after classes start), they’ll catch you up on anything you missed (though you won’t miss anything) anyway.

Though I will say, I don’t know how this effects Quizdom…

Ahh ok. Oh well, since apparently there isn’t one chem teacher significantly better than the rest, I’ll just pick what ever fits. Thanks!

I hope chem 130 is a breeze. I did well on that placement test at orientation but that wasn’t that hard anyway.

chem 125…the horror!

^
I second that.

Really?..

chem 125 grade is based purely on your partners and GSI. Everything is out of your control haha

and exams (10 char)

oh, the material isnt that hard… but you could draw the short straw

It’s a lot of work for two credits. Like a four or five credit class.
