does ED REALLY affect scholarship chances?

wouldnt they want to "entice" you with $$$$$......?

by applying ED, they know that they are your top choice. why would they need to entice you, when that money could be used to entice an RD applicant.
However, there is lots of disagreement as to whether or not colleges actually do this, but it makes sense.
What would the college’s incentive be to give you scholarship if you are already committed to going there?

I didn’t apply ED to Vandy for this very reason. My guidance counselor advised me not to do ED bc it might affect my scholarship money, and then when I talked to the admissions counselor in my area, she agreed. I was hesitant at first, but when the head person even said it might, that pretty much sealed it.

haha, i’m surprised the admissions counselor confirmed it, but i guess sometimes what the colleges advertise on their sites and what really happens in admissions is pretty different.

does anyone know anyone who did EDI or EDII and got merit $$$? did anyone on CC do this???

bumppp. anyone last year get a scholarship that did ED???
