Hello!

I am going to take SAT Physics and SAT Math II. I bought PR and Barrons for earch subject test, but I noticed that they came out last year (new editions of them came out this year). I do not like to spend money to buy new edition...but I am worried that contents might be changed..

When going from one edition to next, does the content of the prep book change?

The answer is almost always no. Don’t sweat it. Errors and all get reprinted by PR and Barron’s wholesale. The only thing that changes is the person on the cover.

Thank you for answering!

So the contents of the book will not change from one edition to another sequentially.

What about the practice tests?

Lol, the practice tests don’t change either. I had a PR Euro book labeled “2006-2007” and its tests were identical to the one in the “2010” edition.

The only time when you should consider getting the latest edition is when the AP exam changes. E.g. you might want to get a “2013” AP Bio book - the 2013 Bio test will be different (different content, different question types - 4 choice questions that are more conceptual).

SAT II haven’t changed in an eternity and there are currently no plans to change them either.
