Does everyone have their popcorn ready for Harry & Meghan?

Just heard on ABC News that all of Montecito has been evacuated.

I wonder if CHP will send a special escort for them?!

Why are you surprised? He’s a tv/movie producer who is happily married with kids. He has never had a bad word to say about his ex.

Apparently Charles explained to Harry at the time of his engagement that Charles would not be in a position to financially support H&M long term and asked if she would keep working after marriage. H does have the money his mother left him as well

What did Charles expect them to do if the answer was Meghan didn’t plan to work?

Presumably H&M could look for other sources of income and/or modify their living standard to live within their means of the generous trust fund left by his mother.
Harry’s cousins all work or have been told to expect to do so upon finishing schooling.

Harry and Meghan made $100 million with Netflix. He stands to make $35-45 million with his book deal. I think they can afford the house they bought, no need to be concerned.

And they can afford to pay for security too.

And they do. Amazing that people thought it was somehow absurd and out of line to want to use family security while in the UK. And then when the couple wanted to pay for police protection in the UK themselves, the “home office” said no.

Got “scolded” on this thread for reporting the less-than-enthusiastic response from Colbert’s audience when Harry’s appearance was announced last week. Last night, when reminded of the appearance tonight (Jan. 10), there was NO applause, just “oooooooh”.

Heard this clear as day. No question. Just sayin’…

Home Office is not code, so does not warrant quotes. It is not “The Firm;” it’s a cabinet department responsible for national security, policing and immigration

Oh thanks

Isn’t this at odds with them having royal duties and working for “the firm”? I thought the whole fuss about them “stepping back” was that they weren’t allowed to do less than devote 100% of their time to official royal duties?

So now that H&M are both working and self-supporting isn’t this what Charles wanted, as implied by Charles saying he couldn’t support them long-term and M would need to work? Color me confused.

They are working and self-supporting by trashing the royal family.

I don’t understand why anybody is so protective of a royal family. These people get to enjoy tremendous privilege for nothing other than birthright. A family that is responsible for centuries of untold suffering across the world.
I mean who cares if they are being “trashed?”
I wouldn’t use that word myself, but apparently it’s OK to do what they do but god forbid anybody criticizes them?

If you tell someone they need to work and be self-supporting, and cut them off financially to encourage it, then you don’t get to dictate what type of work they choose to do.

I guess the $14 million that his mother left him didn’t last long.

Isn’t that how much the mansion cost? The upkeep must be very costly.

I want my kids to be self supporting. But I don’t want them trashing me on Instagram or Facebook. I guess you could say that I cut them off but isn’t that what millions of parents do?

I just saw a newsfeed that had the title that Harry believed he was a “spare” to provide body organs to PW if needed- does he really think this or was he joking (maybe tabloid talk)? It’s sounding a little ridiculous.
