Hey guys I'm a senior and I just got approved for extra time on the ACT for the October test. I didn't do to well on the SAT (1220 CR+Math). Everyone is telling me that the ACT is a lot easier and with extra time I have the potential to score in the 30's. I was just wondering if what everyone is saying is actually true..does extra time really make a that much of a difference?

Yes. Especially for the math and reading sections - you’ll be thankful.

English it would not help really. Math it would help a little bit. Science and Reading would be extremely helpful.

It depends on what your issues are. It did not help either of my son’s close friends who so qualified. They finished the test easily in the time given. It would have helped my son. On sample tests without a time constraint, he did quite well. He had trouble finishing the tests on time and when rushed did poorly. BUt he did not qualify to get more time.
